Afghan president Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the attack on Afghan national army outposts in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan.Presidential palace media office following a statement said, “President Karzai condemns the terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms and praised the brave soldiers who lost their lives defending and protecting their country’s national honors.”The statement further added, “The attack to target Afghan army posts comes a few days after a statement released by Pakistan government said that 23 of its soldiers were killed by Pakistani Taliban.”President Karzai stressed that such attacks to target civilians and non-civilians on both sides of the Durand line is of a major source of shared concern and requires a serious consideration, the statement by presidential palace addedKarzai also has instructed the Minister of National Defense to immediately launch a thorough investigation into the incident.At least 20 Afghan national army soldiers were killed and 6 others were abducted after a group of Taliban militants attacked the army outposts in Ghaziabad district early Sunday morning.
