The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met the UAE Acting Charge d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Astana, Khalid Ibrahim Shahail, on the sidelines of the annual meeting with the diplomatic corps at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace. The UAE ambassador conveyed to the Kazakh leader greetings from the government and people of the UAE. He was asked by the Kazak president to convey greetings to the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and to General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. President Nazarbayev also underscored the unique relations with the UAE and its leadership. Addressing the diplomatic community in presence of senior Kazakh officials and members of the parliament, President Nazarbayev highlighted “Kazakhstan-2050” Strategy, the country’s long-term development plan, preparations to host Expo 2017 international exposition as well as his country’s domestic and foreign policies.
