Muscat - KUNA
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Oman on Tuesday, on an official two-day visit. He is scheduled to hold talks with the Sultan of Oman Qaboos Bin Said, tackling a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, and bolstering ties between the two nations. The visit, Kerry's first since being appointed in his role last March, comes as part of Kerry's efforts to revive the peace process in the Middle East, and to resume negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. It is also aimed at preparing for an international conference on the Syrian conflict.
