U.S. State Secretary John Kerry held a phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during which they discussed the preparations of the International Geneva II Peace Conference on the peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis.U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jane Sacchi said in a press conference here late Thursday that Kerry briefed his Russian counterpart on his contacts in recent days with the regional parties related to the crisis in Syria.It is reported that Kerry is due to meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov in Paris next Monday, for talks on the Syrian crisis.
