President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Sunday held talks on bilateral relations and ways to promote and enhance them in different spheres. Sheikh Khalifa and Hadi held talks at Al Diyafa Palace in Abu Dhabi in presence of General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Sheikh Khalifa stressed the UAE’s interest in strengthening bilateral relations with Yemen, at the political and economic levels in particular,  as well as in providing all kinds of support to Yemenis to contribute to promoting peace and security throughout their country. Sheikh Khalifa said: “We are interested in seeing Yemen enter a new stage of growth and prosperity backed with cohesion among all its people. The government and people of the UAE back the implementation of reconciliation among all Yemeni parties in order to enjoy peace, stability and growth which contributes to the renaissance of Yemen.” The President also hailed Yemen’s strategic role in establishing regional peace and stability. President receives envoys Sheikh Khalifa also received the credentials of 11 new ambassadors to the UAE during a ceremony at Al Diyafa Palace in the presence of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The President emphasised the importance of the role of the UAE’s diplomatic missions in helping nationals abroad and attending to their affairs, noting that the UAE considers human beings as its top priority and places all its resources in the service of the nation and its citizens. He also reiterated the desire of the UAE to extend bridges of friendship and cooperation among nations and to build balanced relations with all fraternal and friendly countries, highlighting the UAE’s constant endeavour to develop economic, cultural and tourism relations with countries throughout the world. Sheikh Khalifa was speaking while receiving the country’s new ambassadors to Germany, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, and Kazakhstan, Suhail Matar Al Ketbi, who were sworn in before him on Sunday. Sheikh Khalifa gave directives to the new ambassadors to further promote the UAE’s international stature at various levels. The UAE President wished them success in their new posts in their work to consolidate the UAE relations with the sisterly and friendly countries. For their part, the envoys thanked Sheikh Khalifa for the confidence he vested on them, pledging to work hard to strengthen the UAE’s relations with the two countries. Present at the ceremony were Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, and a number of sheikhs and senior officials. Meanwhile, Sheikh Khalifa also received the credentials of 11 new ambassadors to the UAE during a ceremony at Al Diyafa Palace in the presence of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Seperately, Sheikh Khalifa has sent a congratulatory cable to President Mohammed Waheed Hassan of the Republic of Maldives on the occasion of his country’s Republic Day. Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has dispatched a similar cable to the President of the Maldives.
