His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today sent a cable of congratulations to His Holiness Pope Francis 1 on his election as new leader of the Catholic Church. HM the King wished the new pontiff success in assuming the papacy, hailing the role of the Vatican in advocating the values of peace, justice and tolerance in the world and promoting respect of monotheistic religions and interfaith dialogue.
