His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today Indian Minister for External Affairs Salman Khurshid on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain to take part in the 9th edition of the Manama Dialogue. The Indian minister conveyed an official invitation from Indian President Pranab Mukherjee to HM the King to visit India. HM King Hamad accepted the invitation, expressing keenness to visit India soon. The Indian Minister also conveyed to HM the King the greetings of the Indian President and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as their best wishes to him of continuous good health and happiness and more progress and prosperity to Bahrain. HM King Hamad lauded strong historic bilateral relations in various fields, praising the key role played by India and its contributions to boosting global security and stability. HM also commended the remarkable role of the Indian community in Bahrain's development, stressing that they are welcomed and respected all the time. HM asked the Indian Minister for External Affairs to convey his greetings to the Indian President and Prime Minister as well as his best wishes of more growth and prosperity to the Indian people.
