Zeljko Komsic, a member of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), will officially take over as chairman of the presidency on Wednesday, the BiH presidency announced on Tuesday. Under the BiH constitution, the presidency consists of three members coming from three constituent peoples: one Bosniak and one Croat elected from the Federation of BiH and one elected from Republika Srpska. Together they serve a four-year term, where the member with the most votes becomes the chairman unless he or she was the incumbent chairman at the time of election. The chairmanship rotates every eight months to ensure equality. Komsic, born in 1964, is Croat and assumed chairmanship from the Serb Nebojsa Radmanovic who held office over the past eight months.
