Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) reported on Tuesday that it has sent a 20-ton shipment of dates to Syrian refugees in Jordan today as part of its relief program to help refugees and ease their burden during the holy month. A Kuwaiti donor provided 20 tons of dates for Syrian refugees, KRCS Chairman Barjas Al-Barjas indicated in a press statement. Al-Barjas pointed out charitable Kuwaitis never faltered or hesitated to extend a helping hand to the Syrians, ever since the Syrian revolt broke out. Furthermore, Al-Barjas stressed the Syrian families residing in Jordan and Lebanon are in desperate need for help and support, specifically during the current holy month of Ramadan. He added KRSC is following developments of the humanitarian situation in Syria and its repercussions on Syrian people. He also affirmed the society\'s continuous humanitarian efforts to provide relief and aid supplies to Syrian families and refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, which so far amounted to around 3,000 tons of items including food, blankets, break-fast meals, and Eid clothes and parcels, in addition to providing treatment at hospitals.
