Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the UN presented Tuesday night, in its current capacity as head of Arab group, two presentations at the closing conference on arms embargoes. The 2013 Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), currently held in New York from March 18-28 is a follow up to the work launched in the July 2012\'s ATT conference. The treaty should take in consideration nuclear disbarment, people\'s right to determine their own fate, rejection of foreign interference, in addition to protection of security and arms exports once permitted, Second Secretary in Kuwaiti mission to the UN Abdulaziz Ammash Al-Ajmi said. The Kuwaiti diplomat stressed on the importance of crossing out some paragraphs from the ATT draft that might be selectively used by arms manufacturers and exporters.
