Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bulgaria Faisal Mutlaq Al-Adwani hosted at the Embassy in Sofia on Wednesday evening an annual reception commemorating Kuwait's 53rd National Day and 23rd Liberation Day. The celebration gathered a large number of Bulgarian politicians, diplomats and public figures, including deputy foreign ministers Angel Velichkov and Todor Churov, former foreign minister Solomon Passy and Deputy Parliament Speaker and head of the Bulgarian-Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship committee Aliosman Imamov, as well as other members of the committee and Arab diplomats based in Sofia.The guests congratulated Ambassador Al-Adwani and the embassy's diplomatic staff on the national days, and expressed best wishes for Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to an embassy statement on Thursday.This year's celebration featured a number of Kuwaiti traditional performances of song and dance, along with documentaries on Kuwait's history, unique traits, and socio-economic development, the statement added.
