The Kuwaiti government is keen on the future of the country; thus, the state devised a comprehensive strategy to develop youth and provide them with the tools to achieve their goals, said an official for the Ministry of Youth Affairs here late Tuesday. Speaking to a symposium on youth guidance and the future, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah said that the ministry in cooperation with other governmental institutes and private organizations would work on supporting human resources\' development and youth. The estimated 621,000 youth citizens under the age of 29 are the future of Kuwait, therefore it is important to provide all sorts of tools to enable them to build their country, said the official. She indicated that the government would focus on devising a solid strategy that would support youth and enable them to reach their career goals in the future. On her part, head of Administrative Development at Kuwait University (KU) Suad Al-Zaid said that Kuwait was in need of developing human resources within the youth category, noting that the symposium, held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, was an indication that the government was keen on the future of the country. She also noted that the symposium would increase dialogue amongst youth and help organize and spread ideas this important sector of the society. Later today, the finale of the event will witness the participation of Minister of Communications and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Salem Al-Utheina, Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare Subhi Al-Mulla, and other figures.
