Kuwait General Consul in Milan and Northern Italy Abdunasser Bukhdhour received on Monday the assigned land lot for Kuwait's pavilion in upcoming Milan EXPO 2015. Bukhdhour participated in a ceremony to receive the pavilion lot, part of 26 others for Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Iran, China, France Germany, US and Japan, Kuwait's General Consulate said in a statement to KUNA. Kuwaiti pavilion is expected to cover an area of 2,800 square meters. Government Plenipotentiary in charge of Expo Milano Giuseppe Sala handed over the land lots to the Kuwaiti Consul and representatives of the other countries. Sala also gave a piece of soil land as a memorial symbolic gesture for each country participating in the EXPO. Expo will bring together 139 countries. Sala added by completing this ceremony, they "did not just finish one step, but 26 steps with each country recognizes the site of the pavilion." Bukhdhour expressed pride for receiving Plot No. N 39, which is close to pavilions of Germany and US. Bukhdhour added this event was a key step in building and boosting cooperation with Expo's administration. Kuwait's pavilion will highlight the country's achievements with water resource, desalination of sea water, including water storage that matches standards adopted by developed countries, based on the latest available technologies since 1954.
