Kuwait's Embassy in Thailand has warned its citizens to exercise caution on visits to Thailand due to the current widescale anti-government demonstrations in the country. "Kuwaiti citizens currently present in Thailand should steer clear of the locations which are accommodating the protests, particularly main roads and government buildings, due to the unstable political situation in the country," Ambassador to Thailand Abdullah Al-Sharhan told KUNA over the phone on Monday. Kuwaitis visiting Thailand are required to provide the embassy with their names and contact details by contacting its emergency hotline (+66) 918 90 9998, he said, mentioning that the embassy's number is (+66) 263 66 600. Protests that have been ongoing in Bangkok for over two weeks now calling for the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to step down continue, despite the announcement of early elections
