Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah met on Tuesday United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The meeting was attended by the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Helen Clark and Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos.
The UN chief expressed his appreciation to the Kuwaiti emir for hosting the third international donors' conference that aims at supporting the Syrian people.
He further thanked the monarch for his efforts exerted in the humanitarian field.
