A delegation of Kuwaiti lawmakers, visiting Argentina, discussed on Wednesday with Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires Mauricio Macri means of boosting bilateral relations, a press statement issued by the National Assembly general secretariat said. On the other hand, a statement issued by Macri's office praised bilateral ties and urged Kuwaitis to invest in his country. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation MP Jamal Al-Omar said that current Kuwaiti investments in Argentina were being financed by th Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in the provinces of San Juan and Santa Fe. Member of the delegation, MP Dr. Yousif Al-Zalzala, emphasized that opportunities existed for advanced cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and gas. Among Argentinian officials the Kuwaiti lawmakers met today were Enrique Mantilla, chairman of Argentina's Exporters Chamber and Eduardo Zuain, Deputy Foreign Minister. Moreover, the lawmakers were feted to a luncheon banquet by Minister of Economy in the Provincial Government of Buenos Aires Silvina Batakis who encouraged more bilateral cooperation on economic issues.
