Senior officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and the Republic of Turkey discussed here Monday ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, trade and investment.  The Foreign Ministry said in a press statement issued by the Europe department said that a number of officials from the Foreign Ministries of the two countries held their first consultative meeting at the level of directors of relevant departments.  It added that the two sides discussed preparations for holding the first session of the Higher Kuwaiti-Turkish Joint committee scheduled in Kuwait, in addition an agreement to hold the ninth session of the joint Kuwaiti-Turkish Committee for Economic, Industrial and Technical Cooperation next April as well as discussing bilateral agreements and ways to activate them.  The statement explained that the officials discussed during the meeting ways to increase exchange of visits at the highest levels between the two countries and especially among experts and specialists.
