Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed by phone on Wednesday the current situation in Syria. During the phone conversation, they considered preparations for an international conference on Syria next month, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a release. Lavrov and Kerry had launched a joint initiative for an international conference to find a political settlement to the Syrian crisis.
