Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met his New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully on the sidelines of the ASEAN Security Forum to discuss prospects for signing a free trade agreement between the Customs Union and New Zealand. “The foreign ministers of both countries discussed key issues of the development of Russian-New Zealand relations with the focus on coordinating the agenda of upcoming contacts and promoting talks to sign a free trade agreement between the Customs Union and New Zealand,” the ministry said. “The ministers also exchanged views on key international issues of mutual interest,” the ministry said.
