The Lebanese army confirmed that Majed Al-Majed, leader of Abdullah Azzam Brigades that claimed responsibility for bombing of Iranian embassy in Beirut last November, has been arrested. The army intelligent directorate "arrested one of the wanted persons and conducted a DNA test which proved that he was Majed Al-Majed, a Saudi national, " the army command said in a statement Friday. The November 19 Iranian embassy attack killed 25 people, including an Iranian diplomat. Meanwhile, army forces in the border Ersal town arrested four Syrians for entering the Lebanese territories illegally.
