Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri met on Monday with visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, accompanied by Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi. The two sides reviewed the current situation and developments in the region in addition to the bilateral relations between the two countries. Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met earlier today with the Iranian minister and discussed bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern. Zarif started yesterday an official visit to Beirut as part of a regional tour that also includes Syria, Jordan and Iraq.
