The Lebanese army confiscated a quantity of weapons on Wednesday in a warehouse rented by a Syrian refugee, according to a statement by the army. "As part of efforts to preserve security and stability and combat all forms of crime, a Lebanese army patrol raided a deserted house, which turned out to be an arms depot rented by Syrian national Wael Abdul Karim," the statement read. "The warehouse, located in the outskirts of the Aidamoun town in the north of al-Qoubaiyat, stored grad rockets, rocket- propelled grenades, machine guns, sniper rifles, and various explosives," it added. Later on, Aidamoun's municipality issued a statement, condemning the presence of the weapons cache in the town.
