The parliamentary constitutional committee in Turkey agreed Friday to amend an article taking down the legal voting age from 25 to 18.
Introduced by the ruling Justice and Development Party, the bill is meant to secure more votes in the general elections due to be held on June 7.
The bill will be referred to parliament for ratification.
