Israeli Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman expressed confidence Wednesday that he would soon be cleared of
the charges of fraud and breach of trust in the indictment against him that was filed Sunday, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Speaking at a rally for his party at Kibbutz Shefayim, Liberman said that after reading all the testimony against him, he received an
impression that the case against him was weak.
"I received all the evidence against me and the testimony," Liberman said.
"All the testimony contradicts the case against me. All the testimony supports my version of events. But I will present our testimony and our case in court and I am sure I will be cleared, chair my party and return to the Foreign Ministry to lead its policies the way they should be led." the former Israeli minister said.
