Libya's political dialogue that was scheduled to kick off on Monday in Geneva has been delayed to Thursday, well-informed sources told MENA.

The sources blamed the delay to the arrival of delegations that would take part in the UN-hosted dialogue.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said the new round of talks is expected to continue until Wednesday.

UN's Libyan envoy Bernardino Leon urged the main parties to redouble their efforts and continue working together towards narrowing existing differences and forging a common platform that can form the basis for a peaceful resolution.
