Libyan Information and Culture Minister Amr al Qwery met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss a political solution to the Libyan crisis and means of fighting terrorism.
In a phone call with MENA Tuesday, al Qwery, who is currently in Moscow, said that he met with Russian Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Bogdanov to probe conditions in the Arab country.
He further underlined that he presented the point of view of the Libyan government about the Libyan crisis.
Al Qwery asked for Russian help to combat extremism and restore security to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, away from the dialogue that is supported by militias.
The get-together took up also the fourth draft submitted by the United Nations (UN) Special Representative on Libya Bernardino León, al Qwery said, thanking Russia for backing his country.
