The Libyan national committee on human rights condemned on Monday the random and systematic shelling by Ansar al Shariaa of densely-populated areas in Benghazi.
In a statement, the committee said the shelling, which killed two persons and wounded 27 others, is tantamount to war crimes.
It renewed calls to the international community to condemn the crimes and violations perpetrated by terrorist groups in Libya, which has been in a state of instability since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi's regime in 2011.
