The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya has called for opening an international investigation into reports about the use of the internationally-banned bombs during clashes in the country.
There is credible evidence on the use of cluster bombs in Libya according to the latest Human Rights Watch report, said a statement on Tuesday.
The remains of cluster bombs were found in several areas across the country, said the statement.
The country has been beset by chaos since the overthrow and death of Col Muammar Gaddafi, with powerful militia alliances in the east and west fighting for control of territory and resources.
