The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed the need to seize the existing chance to resolve the crisis in Syria regardless of the plots hatched by Syria's enemies. The Ministry's spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement that his country is committed to its principled approach of contributing to restore mutual understanding among the Syrians to solve their own problems through dialogue and negotiations. He pointed out that the contacts Russia makes with the Syrian government and a number of the opposition side indicate that there is such a chance.
