Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab hailed deeply-rooted ties binding Egypt and Italy, sounding optimistic about the future of bilateral ties.

"We have great aspiration that bilateral cooperation will witness major progress," Mahlab said, addressing a forum about ongoing reforms on the Egyptian economy.

"The commercial and trade cooperation between Egypt and Italy is going on the right track," Mahlab said.
