Malaysia on Friday condemned a militant attack on a university in north-eastern Kenya that resulted in the deaths of 147 people, Bernama News Agency reported.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia rejected extremism committed in the name of Islam.
"Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance and respect," he said in a post on his Twitter account.
Gunmen from the militant group Al Shabaab stormed the Garissa University College campus in a pre-dawn attack and killed at least 147 people on Thursday.
