Egypt would succeed in securing a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council in 2016-1017.

Marking the 58th anniversary of Malaysia's National Day, Malaysian Ambassador to Egypt Datuk Ku Jaafar Shaari lauded the deeply-rooted ties with Egypt.

He noted that both Egypt and Malaysia were keen on furthering bilateral cooperation in various domains.
