Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop hailed Friday, in Algiers, on behalf of the Malian President, Algeria and its President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for their efforts in favour of the effective implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali.

Diop hailed the signing, this Friday in Algiers, of a record of conclusions of the preparatory consultations for the implementation of the Peace Agreement, and a security arrangement for a cessation of hostilities in Northern Mali, calling it “another accomplished step” for the implementation of the Peace Agreement, resulting from the Algiers Process signed on May 15th in Bamako (Mali).

This signing, added Diop, will promote “harmony and security throughout the Malian territory,” particularly, he underlined, “with the implementation of the Peace and Security agreement.”

On the same occasion, Diop reiterated his call to all the Malian parties to join “this peace train for the exclusive interest of Mali, for sustainable peace.”

The documents were signed by the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ramtane Lamamra, as a mediation leader, by the Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop, and the Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), Mongi Hamdi

The two documents were also signed by the representative of the Coordination of Azawad Movements (CMA), Sidi Brahim Ould Sidatt and all the representatives of the international mediation.
