Iraqi Vice President Nouri al Maliki asserted the importance of coordinating efforts between Baghdad and Washington to eliminate terrorist group's spread in the country.

In a meeting with US Ambassador to Iraq Stuart Jones on Wednesday, Maliki said the international community has to support Iraq in its war against Daesh group.

Jones asserted US's support of Iraqi government in its war against terrorism, underlining US administration's commitment to provide military aid to the Iraqi forces.
