A man has been shot dead by officers outside a police station in Barbes, northern Paris on the anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attacks, according to the BBC.

The man was seen running towards the police station shouting 'Allahu Akbar', before being shot.

The man was armed with a knife and wore an apparent suicide vest, France's interior ministry said.
