Maoists shot dead a former Maoist and a woman health worker Wednesday at Bailiguma village under Chitrakonda police station of Malkangiri district in the east Indian state of Odisha, 1,500 km from here, police said. The rebels raided the village and dragged 35-year-old Laxmi Khara and 45-year-old Sathirao Santala from their homes and shot them dead.
