Beirut - KUNA
Violence declined in the city of Tripoli, north Lebanon, after the Lebanese Army increased its presence and deployment of its units in most areas where clashes took place throughout the week, security reports said, Monday. Gun shots are heard every now and then, but overall less frequently, amid an atmosphere of caution in the Bab Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen areas, according to security reports cited by media. Fierce clashes over the past seven days left 25 people dead and over 200 others injured, in connection to support of the popular uprising in Syria or support of the Assad regime.
