President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz headed Friday for the Malian Capital of Bamako to take part in signing the peace and reconciliation agreement in Mali.

Accompanying Ould Abdel Aziz are a group of the Malian soldiers who had been captured by separatists in northern Mali amid clashes with Malian army.

The separatist movements handed them over after mediation by the Mauritanian government. And then they received treatment at hospitals in Mauritania.
