Member of Future Movement, Mouin Merhebi, called on the president Sunday to order the military to deploy at Lebanese border, asking the UN to implement resolution 1701 under Chapter VII the United Nations Charter and to use a multinational force to protect Lebanon. Merhebi protested in a statement against "Assad gangs'" targeting of Lebanese citizens in Wadi Khaled. The MP protested against the lack of response by Mikati's "Assadist" government and the military in defending the people of Aakar.
