German Chancellor Angela Merkel reiterated, Saturday, her support for a two-state solution to end tension in the Middle East.In her weekly address to the German public, Merkel said it was important to find a permanent solution as soon as possible that would guarantee two separate states: one for the Israelis and the second for the Palestinians.The German Chancellor welcomed a gradual plan to end the Palestinian-Israeli struggle. Merkel is to visit Israel early next week. She will be accompanied by a high level German delegation, including 14 ministers and two deputy ministers.During her visit, the German and Israeli governments are scheduled to hold a joint cabinet meeting which will focus on bilateral political, socio-economic and cultural relations.
