Lebanon require financial and economic assistance to support Syrian refugees, said Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati here Wednesday. In his speech to the Second Kuwait Pledging Conference for Syria, Mikati thanked Kuwait for hosting the conference which hopefully ease the suffering of Syrian refugees. He indicated that the continuous flow of Syrian refugees to his country had affected Lebanese economy. He called on the international community to help Lebanon to support the Syrian refugees, stressing such support was a humanitarian obligation. Several countries, including the host country Kuwait, had already made pledges to meet the demanding goal of USD 6.5 billion.
