Mitt Romney won Montana\'s three electoral votes but it remained uncertain Wednesday who won the state\'s governor\'s race, results showed. Romney won 54 percent of the vote to 43 percent for President Barack Obama with 65 percent of precincts counted, CNN reported Wednesday. However, the state\'s governor\'s race was too close to call early Wednesday, the Billings (Mont.) Gazette reported. The newspaper said delays caused by same-day voter registration and in voting in some counties slowed vote counting. Democrat Steve Bullock, Montana\'s attorney general, had an early lead over Republican Rick Hill, a former congressman, but the lead shrunk early Wednesday to 6 percentage points. Gov. Brian Schweitzer, a Democrat, couldn\'t run again because of term limits. With 35 percent of precincts counted, Bullock had 117,896 votes, or 51 percent, to 104,470, or 45 percent, for Hill and 8,359, or 4 percent, for Libertarian Ron Vandevender. In the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Jon Tester won about 49 percent of the vote to about 44 percent for Republican Denny Rehberg and about 6 percent for independent Dan Cox, the Gazette reported. In the U.S. House race, Republican Steve Daines had about 53 percent of the vote to about 43 percent for Democrat Kim Gillan and about 4 percent for Libertarian David Kaiser.
