President Mohamed Morsi invited all African leaders to meet with him in Johannesburg on Wednesday at the BRICS summit. Morsi mainly invited Senegal\'s President Macky Sall and Cote d\'Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara for a comprehensive meeting, according to Assistant Foreign Minister Mona Omar in statements on Tuesday. The Egyptian president will take part in the BRICS and New Partnership for Africa\'s Development (NEPAD) summits slated for tomorrow. BRICS consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, with the name formed by the initials of the five emerging economies. It had been known as BRIC before South Africa joined the group in 2010. The BRICS countries make up about 42 percent of the world s total population, 20 percent of the global economic output and 15 percent of world trade.
