President Mohamed Morsi's supporters, who are holding a sit-in around Ittihadiya Palace, decided to hold a funeral for victims who died during Wednesday's clashes outside the presidential palace. They will hold funeral prayers after Asr (afternoon) prayers. A number of Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists leaders are expected to attend the funeral. On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of protesters marched on the presidential palace calling for dropping the constitutional declaration and canceling the December 15 referendum vote. The march ended peacefully but some protesters announced a sit-in outside the palace. A day later, supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood headed for the palace and engaged in violent clashes with the protesters, leaving five dead and 446 wounded.
