Russia plans to expand sanctions against Turkey, effectively blocking the import of works and services from that country, "Kommersant" newspaper reports citing informed sources.

Kommersant newspaper with reference to the Ministry of Economic Development said that a draft government decree has been prepared on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

The document was developed as part of President Vladimir Putin's decree on sanctions against Turkey.

According to "Kommersant", the decree prohibits the Russian legal entities to enter into contracts with the relevant Turkish counterparts. The import of construction services, hotel services, as well as wood processing and training of civilian personnel of the airlines of the Russian Federation in Turkey may be also subject to sanctions if the decree comes into force.

Government's source confirmed the information on the preparation of new sanctions. According to it, it will not be possible to issue passports of transactions for the contracts of Russian legal entities and individuals with Turkish ones. This completely forbiddens any participation of Turkish companies in the Russian public procurement.
