Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asserted his country's support to the Egypt and Arab countries draft resolution raised to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) concerning Libya.
This came during Lavrov's meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Moscow on Thursday.
The Russian top diplomat directed Russian permanent representative to the UNSC to coordinate with the Arab Group and hold contacts with other UNSC members to reach consensus over an Arab resolution that was submitted earlier by Jordan over the Libyan crisis.
