Moscow - MENA
The governments of Japan and Russia have started examining a possibility of holding the visit of Japan’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida to Moscow this autumn, Tass said on Sunday.
The top diplomat may visit Moscow with an economic mission of a group of Japanese entrepreneurs. The goal of this mission is to prepare soil for the visit of President Putin to Japan this year.
The sides may possibly achieve progress in solving the territorial dispute through deepening bilateral economic relations.
The final decision on Kishida’s possible visit to Moscow will be however made upon coordination with the US on the issue of increasing pressure against Russia due to the situation in Ukraine.
