Mufti of Jabl Lebanon Sheikh Mohammed Ali Al-Jozo has warned of a conspiracy against Egypt and its people, especially after President Mohamed Morsi acted in support of Gaza. In a statement, a copy of which MENA received Friday, Sheikh Jozo said that Cairo's support for the Palestinians is a legitimate and moral duty. Sheikh Jozo said somebody is funding a campaign against Egypt, noting that those do not want to see a religious state in Egypt. They prefer a civil state, the mufti said, assuring this is in the core of Islam.
