Inspection teams of Kuwait Municipality on Sunday toured food stores and hairdressing salons issuing citations for irregularities. Up to 249 penalties were issued and 58 samples of food and materials were taken and sent to the laboratory for examination, it said in a statement, noting the teams inspected markets, food, sweet stores and hairdressing salons. The inspectors found invalid food, stores operating without health certificates and non-abidance by standing health regulations. It called on citizens and residents to call on the hotline 139 for complaints.
