Islamic religious adviser to the Ministry of Defence Imam Asim Hafiz said Sunday Muslims all over the world have been actively participated in the construction and defending of the United Kjngdom.

In a report by the UK government, he added that Muslims have played a key role in the defence of Britain during the past decades and are still doing the same today.

Muslims fought bravely in defense of this nation, Hafiz said.

The number of Muslim recruits in the UK armed forces has risen by well over 40% since 2007.
